Madras Social Service Society (MSSS), the official organ for social work in the Archdiocese of Madras-Mylapore, registered under the Societies Registration Act on 3rd July 1969, works for the development of the poor and marginalized in Chennai and Tiruvallur Districts of Tamilnadu.
From 1969 to 1987 the Charitable and the Welfare Programmes such as food aid, infrastructures, Mother & Child health programmes were undertaken for the poor people of Chennai, Thiruvellore, Chingleput and Kanchipuram Districts.
Means an equitable society wherein all people live with dignity and equality and realization of human rights, justice and solidarity with an orderly eco-system.
Through mobilization, negotiations, networking, lobbying and advocacy with greater commitment, cooperation and coordination with competent socially spirited organizations and powerless people realization of human rights and respecting the mother earth
